About
I'm Kishore — based in the UK, currently completing the CII's R01 through R06 financial planning examinations.
I built this site for two reasons.
The first is to write about money in plain English. Personal finance is full of opaque jargon that mostly serves the people selling products. Most of the actual decisions — buy or rent, save or invest, overpay or contribute — are tractable if someone explains them clearly.
The second is to publish the calculation tools I build to think through these problems myself. The first is a Buy vs Invest calculator that compares buying a home against renting and investing the difference, with the same monthly outflow in both scenarios.
[edit me — add a paragraph about your professional background, e.g. prior career, what drew you to financial planning, anything personal you want readers to know]
[edit me — add a paragraph about how to get in touch — email, LinkedIn, anywhere you want people to reach you]
What this site is not
This site is not regulated financial advice. The tools illustrate trade-offs; they don't recommend a course of action. For decisions that matter — buying property, retirement planning, investment allocation — speak to a qualified, independent financial adviser who knows your full situation.
